Walt Disney films, from course ‘cartoon-making’ to film producer

Walt Disney, the famous American film producer of Disney films was born in Chicago on December 5, 1901. The family relocated a number of times, and in Kansas City, where Walt’s father was a newspaper delivery person, Walt began a course in cartoon making. Then he went to art school. In 1918, just after the First World War, he dropped out of school to work as a Red Cross driver in France. When he returned to America in 1919, he found work in Kansas City as a draftsman and inker. In his own studio he made a number of cartoons together with his brother Roy. He hired a number of animators and laid the foundation for funny and comical stories, which are so recognizable in his Disney films.

Walt Disney married Lillian Bounds in 1925 and they had two daughters, Diana and Sharon. In 1928 Walt released three of Mickey Mouse’s Disney films. His first movie with sound was ‘Steamboat Willie’. Walt Disney himself recorded the voice of Mickey Mouse for years. More Disney films followed, including ‘The Three Little Pigs’ in 1933 and ‘Donald Duck’ in 1934. ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ was his first feature-length cartoon. Walt Disney won an Oscar in 1939 for this film. In 1966 Walt Disney died during the production of the famous movie ‘Jungle Book’. His studio continued to exist and still guarantees popular and beautiful Disney Films.
