The popular Netflix series is a spin-off of the well-known movies and TV series about the morbid Addams Family. The Addams family, consisting of father Gomez, mother Morticia, son Pugsley and daughter Wednesday. Together with butler Lurch and Thing (a living severed hand), they live in a stately but creepy mansion.

Wednesday is a quiet and somewhat pathetic child. Her pale skin and black hair appear in almost all the films and give her a sullen appearance. She has a fascination with death and the macabre. She starts using her brother Pugsley more and more for her experiments in which she tries to physically injure or possibly even kill him.

In the series Wednesday, she attends boarding school Nevermore, where she must get along with her classmates. Actress Jenna Ortega plays the title role.
