NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a 1993 stop-motion animated film by Tim Burton. It tells the story of Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween Town. Halloween Town is populated by monstrous characters. Jack accidentally ends up in Christmas Town and plans to take over the holiday. Back in his own town, he tries to explain to the residents what Christmas is. When he orders the trio Lock, Shock and Barrel to bring Santa to Halloween Town, they deliver Santa to their leader Oogie Boogie. Jack’s lover Sally tries to free Santa, but is herself captured. In the end, it is Jack who rescues Santa and Sally from the hands of Oogie Boogie. The Nightmare Before Christmas has become a true cult film with a fan base of its own.
