Merida is the tough, independent Scottish princess from the Disney/Pixar film Brave, known for her talent for archery. Determined to walk her own path, she defies the tradition of arranged marriages in her kingdom, leading to a heated argument with her mother, Queen Elinor. In a fit of rage, Merida visits a witch and receives a spell she hopes will change her mother’s mind, but instead Elinor turns into a bear. Merida must then use her courage and skills to undo the curse and restore their relationship.
