DUMBO

Disney’s Dumbo tells the story of a young, newborn elephant nicknamed Dumbo because of his exceptionally large ears. Dumbo is shunned by the other elephants, but finds a true friend in Timothy Q. Mouse, who helps him overcome adversity. Through Timothy’s encouragement, Dumbo discovers he can fly with his giant ears and becomes the star of the circus. The film emphasizes themes of friendship, self-confidence and celebrating differences. As the only non-speaking title character in a Disney film, Dumbo’s journey in which he overcomes prejudices and embraces his unique gift is at the heart of the classic animated film.
