DISNEY’S SENSATIONAL SIX

The Disney universe grew out of the Mickey Mouse short animated films produced by Disney beginning in 1928. Disney quickly added other characters to subsequent films. Audiences are introduced to Mickey’s girlfriend Minnie, his dog Pluto, the hot-tempered Donald Duck and his beloved Daisy and, of course, the lanky Goofy. Together, these world-famous Disney cartoon characters make up what is popularly known as the “Sensational Six.” Over the years, their appearance has been changed several times to suit the spirit of the times; however, their characters remain the same. The Walt Disney Company strictly monitors its characters and how they are used on e.g. Merchandise.

Many unforgettable characters were added to the Disney family in the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. We were introduced to crowd favorites like Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, Moana, the Lion King, Cinderella, Stitch and we could go on and on. All these characters you can also meet in any of the Disney parks worldwide. But the Sensational Six remains as popular as ever and is usually the highlight of shows and parades.

Hallmark Cards, Inc. is a privately held American family business based in Kansas City, Missouri. Founded in 1910 by Joyce Hall, the company is one of the oldest and largest manufacturers of greeting cards in the United States. In 1985, the company received the National Medal of Arts.

In addition to greeting cards, the company also produces products such as Christmas ornaments, party supplies, gift and stationery.

In 1973 it began producing Christmas ornaments. The first collection consisted of 18 ornaments. The Hallmark Keepsake Ornament collection is dated and available for only one year. By 1998, 11 million American households collected the ornaments and 250,000 people were members of the Keepsake Ornament Collector’s Club. Since then, Hallmark releases many new designs every year, which are eagerly sought after. The ornaments are of high quality and all individually packaged.
