WINNIE THE POOH

Writer A. A. Milne named the character Winnie the Pooh after a teddy bear owned by his son, Christopher Robin Milne, on whom the character Christopher Robin was based. Shepard in turn based his illustrations of Pooh on his own son’s teddy bear, Growler, rather than Christopher Robin’s bear. The rest of Christopher Milne’s toys – Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo and Tigger – were included in Milne’s stories. Two other characters, Owl and Rabbit, were created by Milne’s imagination, while Gopher was added to the Disney version. Christopher Robin’s toy bear is on display at the main branch of the New York Public Library in New York City.

Winnie the Pooh exists in 2 variants…. the Classic variant, based on Shepard’s drawings and the Disney variant. Both Pooh’s are very popular and can be found on numerous merchandise. Several movies have been released of the Disney Pooh and attractions have been created in the Disney parks.

Funko Inc. is an American company that produces licensed and limited pop culture collectibles, known for its vinyl figurines and bobbleheads. The company also produces licensed plush, action figures, clothing, accessories and games. Funko, founded in 1998 by Mike and Claudia Becker, was originally conceived as a small-scale project to create various low-tech, nostalgic-themed toys. The Funko Pop! figures are characterized by their large oval head and black, round eyes. Most of them leave the figurines in their original packaging. This way, the figurines retain their value and are even worth more when resold.
