LILO & STITCH

Lilo & Stitch is een Disney animatiefilm uit 2002.
De film vertelt het verhaal van twee individuen: een weesmeisje uit Hawaii, Lilo Pelekai.
Na de dood van hun ouders wordt ze opgevoed door haar oudere zus Nani.
In het asiel ontmoeten ze het genetisch gemanipuleerde buitenaardse wezen Experiment 626.
Lilo adopteert hem als haar “hond” en geeft ‘m de naam “Stitch”. Stitch is ontworpen om chaos en vernietiging te veroorzaken en gebruikt Lilo aanvankelijk om te voorkomen dat hij door een intergalactische federatie gevangen wordt genomen.
Ze ontwikkelen een hechte band door het Hawaiiaanse concept van Ohana, oftewel familie.
Hierdoor heroverweegt Stitch zijn beoogde destructieve doel om zo zijn nieuwe familie bij elkaar te houden.
Stitch is tegenwoordig een van de populairste Disney-karakters, zowel in de parken als op merchandise.
Hij heeft een grote schare trouwe fans.
In 2025 komt de live action-film uit.
