THE GRINCH

The Grinch is a green, furry, snub-nosed character from Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” who lives in a cave overlooking Whoville, along with his dog Max. The Grinch hates Christmas and all the joy it brings to the people of Whoville, a feeling that stems from childhood trauma, including bullying and feeling like an outsider. In his desperate attempt to end the holiday season, he steals all the gifts and decorations from Whoville on Christmas Eve. However, his heart grows three times stronger that day after he hears the pure and selfless singing of the Whos, and realizes that true Christmas spirit is about love, not material things. He returns all the stolen items and, changed by his newfound compassion, joins the Whos in their Christmas celebration.
