This mechanical do-it-yourself wooden model of a walking tyrannosaurus is powered by a metal spring, which transmits power through a reduced gear, causing the shaft to drive the legs. Thanks to a clever system of links and connections, this king of dinosaurs can walk on its own legs – the first bi-pedal walker in the Ugears collection! An eccentric acceleration causes the tail to swing synchronously with the legs, allowing the dinosaur to keep its balance and not fall sideways. This amazing model of a walking dinosaur is a wind-up DIY wooden scale model of an adult Tyrannosaurus Rex. The top of the tail hides the winding key. Remove the key and insert it into the ratchet mechanism on the left side of the dinosaur, making sure that the head of the left femur is not in the opening (if necessary, turn the on/off switch to the “on” position and then rotate the equipment above the T-Rex’s shoulders to move the leg). Turn the on/off switch to the “off” position (toward the head) and wind the mechanism clockwise about 6 times. Place the key back to its position between the tail and the body. Place the Tyrannosaurus on a smooth, flat surface, hold the automaton by the body (do not squeeze the legs together!), flip the on switch and release. Your Tyrannosaurus will sneak away, looking for its next meal, its tail waving and jaws moving. It’s actually quite terrifying!
