LORD OF THE RINGS

Lord of the Rings is a film series based on J.R.R. Tolkien‘s book. The movies (like the book) are about Frodo Baggins. He is tasked with destroying the Ring that decides good and evil. He must do this by throwing the Ring into the fire in which it was forged. That fire is located in Mount Doom. This lies in the land of Mordor. The Ring itself wants to return to Sauron, the lord of evil. Frodo must make sure he is not found by the Ring spirits or by Sauron himself. On his journey to Mordor, Frodo is joined by Samwise Gamgee (Sam), his gardener and best friend. They are later joined by other traveling companions: the wizard Gandalf, Aragorn, the elf Legolas, the dwarf Gimli, Boromir, Merry and Pippin.

Gollum accompanies Frodo and Sam for a time when they have lost the rest of the company. However, he betrays them in order to regain possession of the Ring himself. Frodo and Sam manage to destroy the Ring in the Mount of Doom. Sauron’s power is thus finally broken and Frodo and Sam find their traveling companions again.
