Disney’s The Aristocats is a 1970 animated musical about a family of high society cats in Paris who will inherit a fortune, much to the annoyance of their greedy butler Edgar. Edgar tries to get rid of the cats by leaving them in the countryside, where they meet Thomas O’Malley, a charming alley cat. O’Malley helps the cats, led by their mother Duchess, find their way home. Along the way, they experience adventure and music with his jazz-playing friends, which eventually thwarts Edgar’s plans to seize the fortune.
