In her adult life, Leta was determined to turn over a new leaf. She became a productive and valued member of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Leta got engaged to Newt’s older brother Theseus in 1927. In this year she sacrificed herself for them during a demonstration in Paris by Gellert Grindelwald by distracting him. Grindelwald’s flames engulfed Leta and burned her. Nevertheless, Leta’s death inspired Newt to openly go to war against the terrorist who had taken her own life.

FANTASTIC BEASTS

The Fantastic Beasts film series is a prequel to the Harry Potter saga. The stories revolve around the adventures of magizoologist Newt Scamander in the 1920s and his encounters with magical creatures and dark wizards.
