Magic Wand Leta Lestrange. Beautiful plastic replica of Leta Lestrange’s magic wand. Leta Lestrange was an Anglo-French full-blooded witch, born into Lestrange’s family. She attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she was sorted into Slytherin, and was often the target of bullying. At school, she developed a close relationship with Newton Scamander, but the two broke up. In her adult life, Leta was determined to turn a new leaf and live as a prolific and valued member of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Leta got engaged to Newt’s older brother Theseus in 1927. In this year she sacrificed herself for them during a demonstration in Paris by Gellert Grindelwald by distracting him. Grindelwald’s flames engulfed Leta and burned her. Nevertheless, Leta’s death inspired Newt to openly go to war against the terrorist who had taken her own life.
